Liz joined the board of Kelda Group and Yorkshire Water in November 2011 as Director of Finance,
Regulation and Markets. She became CEO in September 2019. Liz was previously a partner of Ernst & Young LLP (EY) where she held several senior partner roles, including leading the firm’s national water team and the assurance practice across the North Region. Liz had been with EY since 1987 and in that time worked with some of the largest companies in the UK. Liz specialised in delivery of services to the water industry, including several water companies and UK regulators. Liz is a lay member and trustee of the University of Leeds, where she chairs two committees and is Deputy Pro-Chancellor. She was also a non-executive director and Chair of the audit committee of KCOM from April 2015 to August 2019 and supported the Natural Capital Coalition as a Board member from April 2016 to July 2019. From 2013 she was also a member of the Prince of Wales Accounting for Sustainability group of CFOs which she chaired for 2 years and stepped down with her change of role in September 2019.
