Mission Statement

Isaiah 6:8 “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’”

Thought: at times the prophets would be invited to participate in the heavenly court (1 Kings 22:14-22; Jeremiah 23:18-22). Here the Lord uses the pronoun “Us”, to mean--Himself and His angels (Genesis 3:22; 11:17). “Send me’ in ancient Middle Eastern religions only divine beings are sent as messengers of the gods. Yet the God of scripture uses human beings as a matter of course. Only at certain times does he use angels in a direct way to reveal his will to human kind. Isaiah's willingness proceeded from a grateful and humble heart; he wanted to serve the God who had forgiven him of his sin. Isaiah 6:7, says (God speaking) “your iniquity is taken away, and your sin covered.”
