Mark Caines leads Flint’s Competition and Regulatory practice. An economist by background, he brings nearly thirty years of experience in economic regulation and competition policy in the UK and worldwide. Prior to joining Flint, Mark spent 11 years as a senior director at Ofcom working across the telecoms and media sectors, and before that he worked for over fifteen years as an economic and strategy consultant at PwC and PA Consulting to clients in the energy, water and transport sectors. Mark is part of a highly experienced team which includes many former decision makers from regulatory and competition authorities and across government. Drawing on deep understanding of the issues our clients face and the way in which decisions are made, we advise investors and corporates on how to navigate the challenges of regulatory, policy and political change at national, European and international levels.
